Reviving Portland’s world famous 60 cart food cart pod that once existed on SW 10th and Alder, but was disbanded in 2019 to make way for the Ritz Carlton.

Proposed planters/seating

The Cart Blocks is an existing and operating site in downtown Portland OR at the  South end of the North Park Blocks. It is an activation point along the greater Green Loop bike path.

Renderings shown have been designed and developed at the request of the non-profit Friends of Green Loop and used to gain support and funding from the public and city officials.

Key goals for this project are to reimagine Portland’s downtown food cart pods, create a positive ripple effect in the neighborhood and bring foot traffic back into downtown through community activation, supporting small business economy, creating safety through more “eyes on the street” and avoiding hostile architecture.

Developed a brand identity, new logo and created a series of stickers and promotional material.

Rainbow Market, Portland Pride 2024

Designed banners and crafted interactive art exhibit “What does queer pride mean to you?” for event.

Developed floor plan for vendor layout.

Helped with coordinating and set up.
